MADFISH is one of Ghana's biggest star. His sound is strictly
Dancehall.
Ghana has been exchanging musical ideas with the Caribbean for hundreds
of years, and MADFISH continues to do that in his unique way. Unlike
many of Ghana's current musicians, He honed his talents through the
Streets, when he was 5 yrs old he was trained by two jamaican musicians
who were based in Ghana, At the age of 13 he won the best artist for
talented kids (KIDDAFEST) at the national theater in Ghana, At the age
of 15 in High school, he was always taking away on the weekends from
his Boarding school to the Radio Station, where he Host his own
programs, produced by Methodman his Manager... Born as an entertainer
and an artist, Still in school he was always taking on tour for
concerts and shows, he got every body crazy with his lyrics n style n
he was loved and still loved by everyone. both kids and adults, at 16
yrs he was voted as the entertainment prefect for his school and he
changed the music life of the school till he completed, he made songs
with other artist before hitting the stage at the age 24. After a
series of collaborations, in 2002 he got a record deal and made his
first album - the chart topping WO NE ME BABY. The song WO NE ME BABY
is still one of Ghana's most loved.
In recent years MADFISH has supported, (and sometimes upstaged) SHAGGY,
THE LATE LEBO from south africa. He has toured in the UK, Italy,
Germany, Holland, Canada, Gabon, Liberia and was nominated 5 times for
the music awards 2004 in Ghana. He was invited to Gabon by EBEN
ENTERTAINMENT to help other artist like Shaggy, Reevon, Lebo and many
more to celebrate the birthday of the President at their national
stadium. He is also the MAIN artist among other artist to be taking to
Liberia during their Election time by AMBASADOR EX FOOTBALLER
PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE GOERGE WEAH, to perform during their peace
campayne. He travelled far and wide n made colaborations with alot of
different artists all over africa. Hailing from the Great ASHANTI
STATE, 26 yrs old, by the name RAYMOND FRIMPONG MADFISH is a very
intelligent person, He has dreams to make it big, one day in the
international market, n the sky is his limit. He has two album to his
credit and working on the third one.
